Laser Patient Care Process
1. Dr. Holland or Dr. Shieh performs a complete preoperative exam, determining all of the necessary clinical data to send to the surgeon and laser center.
2. After completing preoperative testing, and Dr. Holland or Dr. Shieh have determined that you are an acceptable candidate for lasik you may call 1-877-210-2020 to schedule and appointment with Dr. Mark Mandel for the lasik treatment at one of the following offices:

3. The surgery is perfromed at the laser center. The patient is reponsible for paying the laser center the discounted fee, which includes Dr. Holland's post-operative care. This all inclusive fee that you must pay is $3,600, and this might vary according to the complexity of your care. Financing is available through the laser center.
4. In most cases, you do not have to return to the surgeon after the laser treatment. Instead, you return to Dr. Holland's office six times for post-opertaive care:
- The day following lasik surgery
- The week following lasik surgery
- A month following lasik surgery
- Three months following lasik surgery
- Six months following lasik surgery
- One year following lasik surgery
- Evaluation and treatment of computer related eye strain and computer vision syndrome (CVS)
- Visual field testing
